The Chimney Gulch Trailhead is off of US 6 in Golden near Clear Creek . The trailhead accesses trails on Windy Saddle and Lookout Mountain Parks. The Chimney Gulch Trail heads up Lookout Mountain with a steady 2.5 mile climb averaging 10% with 1.1k of vertical. From the top, at Lookout Mountain or Colorow Hill, trails connect to Apex Park . The trail can be ridden as an out-and -back or riders can descent down from Apex Park trails or the smooth pavement of Lookout Road. Great views of Golden and Denver!

We will ride as a group with a lead and a sweep rider. If the group of riders is too large, we will split into a couple of distinct and separate groups. We will plan to ride a selection of trails based upon trail conditions and rider ability. Plan to ride 1.5-2 hours or until sunset and bring a headlamp.
